Does anyone care? I for one am glad that the "I'm better than he is" stuff is over for awhile.  Overall we had good candidates to choose from, but some ran better campaigns than others.  Or should I say "nicer"...what do you think?  Do nice guys really finish last in politics?

Indeed they do, DogLady... at least generally.

Instead of offering-up their candidacy, pointing out their specific attributes and debating the issues with their rivals, it's pretty much about mud-slinging these days.  If there is a worthy candidate, he or she typically gets buried by an opponant's campaign mud, especially if the opponant is well-financed.

We'll see how things shake out in the general election come November...
