Is anyone familiar with all the metal art and funny whirligigs along U.S. 400 in Mullinville? I enjoy looking at them, but feel I'm missing out on the message — seems pretty political. Anyone have any insight?

The sculptures of M.T. Liggett?

He certainly has some interesting opinions, if his art is an indication. Kind of distracting when you're driving by, too!

Thanks for the info, Breezy. Interesting article, and I especially liked this quote:

I've known MT for nearly 20 years and he's a fun-loving, good guy.  His metal-work is interesting, amusing and, yes, different.  I know there's some political messages involved, as well as some "digs" at local, State and Federal politicians.  He and his lady are a delight to visit with and he's a wealth of information for area activities.

And I agree with Bird... they can be kinda distracting!
